Muhammed Hamid is an Ugandan business magnate whose influence has redefined entrepreneurship in East Africa. His influence has also reached global markets. In Dubai, Hamid owns Aya Mohammed Trade, a general merchandise company serving the Middle East and Africa. Additionally, his real estate ventures in Manhattan, New York, encompass both residential and commercial properties, reflecting his keen eye for international business opportunities.

The Aya Group’s extensive portfolio includes Aya Bakery, the largest commercial bakery in Uganda, and Aya Biscuits, which operates one of the country’s most modern biscuit-making facilities. His investments in Uganda, including the sprawling AYA Estate and Aya Investments (U) Ltd, have cemented his status as a leading figure in Uganda’s economy.

Recognized by Forbes in 2015 as the second richest African under 40, Hamid’s success is a testament to his relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation. His business empire, now worth billions, employs thousands of people, driving economic growth and development across the region.
